Commission Procedure
Suellen will meet with the client initially to discuss portrait composition, size, pose, format, type of clothing, tone, background, and lighting at either the client’s home, the artist’s studio or another mutually agreed upon location. A series of up to 200 photographs may be made at this session, along with a sketch of the subject from life. Photographs and the sketch will be reviewed and a pose agreed upon. A small color study may be made for composition and submitted for client approval. The completion time is dependent upon current commissions and will be established at time of contract. Suellen paints portraits approximately life size in her studio using the finest oils on premium linen canvas. Once the portrait is completed it will be delivered to the client to be enjoyed for generations!
30% discount for second and third person on same canvas.
